Our show houses contain a whole range of the popular genera such as Phalaenopsis, Cattleyas, Paphiopedilums, Odontoglossum types, plus a variety of Species and essential sundries. We specialise in mail order, including our luxuriously gift boxed Phalaenopsis (complete with care leaflet and message card) that is sent by post anywhere within the U.K.

Although the nursery has a stock of plants for sale all year round and welcomes visitors, by appointment, much of it's trade is done by mail order. The easing of trading regulations throughout most of Europe means that an increasing amount of business is done with the E.E.C.

Directions: Leave M62 at junction 26, take A58 to Leeds, in 1 mile at roundabout turn left (Bradford). After 1 mile, at crossroads, turn right.

Our nursery specializes in good quality species and hybrids at reasonable prices. Always a good range of Genera in stock. Visitors by appointment only. Lists only very occasional.

A large range of garden hardy terrestrial orchids including ophrys, anacamptis, calanthe, bletilla, cypripedium and dactylorhiza available from reputable sources plus some unusual cold greenhouse species including Australian Thelymitras.

We have a seedling and meristem raising laboratory specialising in orchid species from South America, Papua New Guinea and Madagascar. Paphiopedilum species also a speciality.

This friendly society welcomes new members and gives encouragement to all who are interested in orchid growing, whether they have large collections or one orchid growing on a windowsill.

Rare Plants is a small, UK company based in Wrexham, in North Wales. In 1985 the nursery moved from its original mountain home at Minera, above Wrexham, to a lower altitude on the alluvial plain to the north of Wrexham, a site more suited to bulb cultivation. Presently we run this, and two other sites, for bulb production. Dr. Paul Christian is still the director and the company has now traded continuously since 1972, for some 38 years.
